So there we were, Valentine's Day of 2000. Brad, Paul, Eric,
Courtney, Steve and I. The usual all night crew. Suddenly, these three gorgeous women show
up. That was Kim, Randi, and Cindy (Carly made her appearance later). Anyway, one thing
led to another over the course of the next few months until I fell madly in love with Kim. |
| Though we were in love, it seemed as though it was not that
simple. We fought, had rough times etc. Our first movie together was "The Wall" of all
movies.... I tried everything to keep from falling so hard. But it did not work, and I fell in
love with Kim. Finally, on July 9, 2000, a full x months after we met, we started dating. |

Since that day in July, we have enjoyed and endured many things
together: a trip to Ocean City, MD, Kim's car accident, numerous trips to local restaurants,
my first Hokie football game, fine dining, head injuries, and so much more. It
isn't just always the good times that make memories, though those are the fun ones to remember. |
| As much as I love the fun times we have, I enjoy the quiet time we
share. We don't have to be doing anything or going anywhere to have a good time. Lounging
around in my room is all it takes for me to be happy. I love you, Kimberly Brooke Mattern. |
